Diggin' Spuds

Although this is not a painting of a horse, it is a reflection of my life. This painting captures an intimate moment in the lives of three individuals. In the foreground, a grandfather imparts timeless wisdom to his granddaughter, demonstrating how life-sustaining food springs forth from the very earth as he shows her how to dig up spuds. The scene celebrates the miracle of new life emerging from the soil, mirroring the wonder of a young mind absorbing age-old knowledge. While the grandmother remains unseen, her presence—much like that of Mother Earth—quietly witnesses this beautiful exchange between generations.
